What are the fees accompanying a Meraas Gift Card?

  • AED 15 Activation fee: to enable the card ready for use.
  • AED 15 Reactivation fee: to extend the expiry date by one month after the initial 12 months.
  • AED 15 Replacement fee: to replace a lost, stolen or damaged Meraas Gift Card.

Can I make online purchases?

No. The Meraas Gift Card cannot be used to make online purchases.

Can I use my Meraas Gift Card at an ATM at Meraas destinations?

No. The Meraas Gift Card is an alternative to cash or bank card transactions and cannot be used at an ATM.

Do I need to activate my Meraas Gift Card?

Yes. Since the Meraas Gift Card is valid for a limited time, we don’t want you to lose any time you could be using to create your next great story. If you’re purchasing a gift card for yourself, you’ll need to set up a new account and register your details before activating it online. Once activated, you can start using your gift card.

How do I use my Meraas Gift Card?

The Meraas Gift Card can be used for transactions at all card- accepting stores at Meraas destinations. Whether you’re paying for shopping, dining or one of our many entertainment offerings, present your Meraas Gift Card when it is time to pay and the amount will be deducted from your balance. You can also use the card for part payment on most transactions.

You will find the 4-digit PIN in the packaging of your Meraas Gift Card.

Can I make a balance enquiry on my Meraas Gift Card?

How often can I use my Meraas Gift Card?

The Meraas Gift Card can be used for multiple purchases as often as you like, providing you have sufficient balance on your account. Cards have a single-load function, so cannot be topped up or reloaded once the balance has been used.

Can I exchange my Meraas Gift Card for cash?

Funds loaded onto a card cannot be exchanged for cash.

What happens if I want to return an item I bought using the Meraas Gift Card?

Refunds for any transaction made on a Meraas Gift Card will be applied to the balance of your card. Please allow up to five business days for the refund to appear on your balance.

Can I view my transaction history?

My Meraas Gift Card has been lost or stolen. What can I do?

No problem, simply log into your account and mark the card as lost or stolen. You can also contact the Meraas Gift Card Customer Services on +971 (0) 4 241 5115. A replacement card will be made available for a replacement fee of AED 15, that will be deducted from your balance.

How do I give a Meraas Gift Card to a friend or family member?

You’ll need to decide whether you want to purchase, collect and activate the Meraas Gift Card before you gift it to someone. Just be sure to give them the 4-digit PIN that comes with the card. They’ll need this to complete any transactions.

We’ve tailored the card to accommodate all budgets and occasions. The minimum value you can load onto a Meraas Gift Card is AED 50 and the maximum is AED 37,500 (online orders have a maximum order value of AED 3,750). The Meraas Gift Card has a single-load function, so cannot be topped up or reloaded.
